B&W Introduces
Man Pack Antenna
and Mast Kit for Tactical Forward Units
Designed by request of the Marines and
Special Forces. Barker & Williamson's manpack broadband folded
dipole antenna and mast kit gives forward units the HF communications capability of a rear unit in one
small, light, rapidly deployable kit. Although focused on operating NVIS
propagation from a field radio such as the PRC-150, the antenna is capable of
fully automatic, low SWR operation from 1.6 - 30 Mhz without need for an antenna tuner/coupler.
The mast kit includes three 6 foot masts
for NVIS use, that
break down to only 18 inches in length. The masts
are made from FRP fiberglass poles. Kits are complete with all
fittings, guys, stakes, hammer, camouflage carry bag, etc. They are
available in forest green and sand colors.
